Can I search my Claude Code and Codex sessions?
Yes, with Coding agents, a Hubort Pro feature. Your Claude Code and Codex sessions already sit as files on your computer. Hubort reads them, with your permission, into the same search as every chat from your Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok accounts, so one search finds what was decided in a terminal last month or in a chat on another account. It reads words only, never changes a file, and sends nothing anywhere.
What is Coding agents?
A Hubort Pro feature that reads the session files Claude Code and Codex already keep on your computer and puts what you and the agent said into the same search as your ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok chats. It is off until you switch it on, for each tool separately, in Settings.
Each tool appears in Hubort's sidebar under Coding agents, with its own entry called This PC, which you can rename. Its sessions show up in search, Related Chats and exports like any other chat, with the model that answered. A coding session has no web address, so it has no link to open; Hubort shows its title instead. It never uses one of your account slots, and the free tier's pause never hides it.
Which tools can it read?
- Claude Code, from the .claude folder in your user folder (or the folder CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR names). Works on Windows and on a Mac.
- Codex, the command line and the desktop app, from the .codex folder in your user folder (or CODEX_HOME), including its archived sessions. Works on Windows and on a Mac.
Cursor is next, and Antigravity after it, but neither is read today.
How do I turn it on?
- In Hubort, open Settings → Coding agents. It says how many sessions it found for each tool on this computer.
- Switch on the tool you want. Hubort starts reading its sessions straight away, and checks every minute while it's running for new sessions and ones you've carried on.
- Search as usual. The tool's sessions are under Coding agents in the sidebar, and you can untick them to leave them out of a search.
Both start off. Switching one off stops reading it and keeps what Hubort already has. Deleting the tool's entry in the sidebar deletes its chats from Hubort and switches the tool off; switching it on again brings everything back from the files.
What does Hubort read from a coding session?
Your prompts and the agent's replies, as text, with the model that wrote each reply. It leaves out the tool calls, the command output, the file contents and edits, and the tools' own instructions, so the places where .env files and keys usually turn up are never read. A key you pasted into a prompt is masked, like in any chat, before Ask Your Archive or the MCP Connector shows it to anything.
Why keep sessions in Hubort at all?
Claude Code removes its session files after 30 days by default, in a setting called cleanupPeriodDays. When a file goes, the session stays in Hubort. With the rest of your archive, it also means the MCP Connector can let Claude Code or Cursor find what was decided in a Codex session, or in a ChatGPT chat on another account, without you pasting it in.
Do my coding sessions leave my computer?
Hubort doesn't send them anywhere. It reads the files on your computer, keeps the text in the same database on your computer as your other chats, and never changes or deletes the originals. If you use Ask Your Archive or the MCP Connector, those can read these sessions like any other chat, and what they send is what their own pages say.
Nothing new leaves your computer because of this feature, so the privacy policy needed no new line for it. The browser extension plays no part: the desktop app does the reading.
What are its limits?
Three, so you hear them from us. It keeps words, not work: the code an agent wrote and the commands it ran are not in Hubort, only the conversation. Those files are not a published format, so a new version of Claude Code or Codex can change them and Hubort's reader has to catch up; a session it can't read is tried again each minute and the rest are unaffected. And Cursor and Antigravity are not read yet.
How much does it cost?
Coding agents is one of Hubort's Pro features, with Ask Your Archive, Related Chats, Live Sync, Files and media, Projects, the MCP Connector and Usage Insights. Pro is $9.99 a month, $59 a year or $149 once, and every install starts with 14 days of everything with no card, so you can try it on your own sessions first. Hubort runs on Windows 10 and 11, and on macOS 11 or later.
